JULIA HAES

'Although I am inspired by many things, it is light and colour that draws me back again and again. With that, and my childhood roots, coastal themes are a favourite'.

A now retired Julia Haes is a Norfolk born artist, and 4th generation from Cley next the Sea. Studying art at Norwich Art School, then moving on to a London based design company to then go on and qualify as an art teacher teaching across the UK and even in the Middle East, Julia has truly found her own style over the years, creating heavy depth and texture with acrylics and oils, to create abstract settings, with a particular focus on Norfolk coastlines.
