Malca Schotten

Originally brought up in North London and influenced by the creative talents of her parents (a book designer and a potter), it was a move to Norfolk in the early 90s which helped Malca continue to develop her obsession with drawing and a particular passion for working large scale

“As an artist, I am inspired and driven by my love of drawing and my passion to use it to reflect what matters in our lives through subjects that raise public awareness of key issues.”

Malca’s work is organic and fluid, with an emphasis on mark-making and the importance of line and texture. Her dynamic and dramatic landscapes are filled with movement while her animal studies capture the personality and energy of her subjects.
