Richard, a Norfolk artisan woodturner, creates decorative & functional pieces.
He specialises in the use of colour & texture…using inks & spirit stains together with gilding to design & make beautiful unique pieces.
Richard mainly works with British hardwood such as Sycamore, Beech Oak & Ash ethically & sustainably sourced plus reclaimed wood when available. Each piece of wood is unique & you never know what you are going to discover until you start to cut it.
Shape & form are continually evolving, as he loves to experiment… no two pieces ever exactly the same.
Inspiration comes from our beautiful county of Norfolk with our rich rural craft heritage, thriving contemporary art scene, wide open spaces, breath taking coastline & big Norfolk skies
