This painting depicts the break of winter into spring with all the daffodils standing proud and the light green grass. True to Dee Nickerson style, she has her subjects pottering about their daily life.

About Dee Nickerson

Acclaimed painter, Dee Nickerson captures the humble qualities of county living in her figurative artwork. Dee grew up in rural Norfolk and developed an interest in art and making things from an early age. Working in acrylic, her work is influenced by the countryside where she lives and her interactions with it. When speaking of her work, she said, "Some of my characters are based on an imaginary self. It’s not necessarily me exactly, but it might represent how I might like to feel at  that moment. I reach out to other people by painting moments we all share."
